Cricket

In Te Maunga we have been learning about cricket. We played non stop cricket. The batting team had to stay inside the cones if you were in line and hit the ball to the fielders without hitting the wickets after you hit the ball you run to a pad and hop back in line also if you hit the wickets you get that bat out. The fielders have to grab the ball after it has been hit. I learnt how to hold the bat by making a v shape with both of your hands.

Treasure hunt

On Friday the 28th August we did a treasure hunt. We had to run around the school and find small pieces of paper with a picture of gumboots on them. We could win headphones and chicken and chip vouchers and lots of other things. We had to pay $2 to do the treasure hunt and the money was raising money for Sam Godsiff-Johnson and the charity I Am Hope.

Probability

In Te Maunga we have been learning about probability. We had to play some math games and one of the games we played was called Sneaky Snakes. In the game you had to roll a dice and say you got five and two that equals seven so you move your counter seven times on the board and you have to count how many turns it takes to finish the game my ground through it would take about five turns but I thought it was going to be four.
